Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

What we aim for, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us when something is broken.

This site is built to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology like screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, or alternative input devices.

What we target

The site is built to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, where practical. We use semantic HTML, descriptive link text, and alternative text on meaningful images. Pages work with the browser's text size and zoom controls.

What we don't claim

We don't claim full WCAG conformance. Accessibility is ongoing work, and small-business sites built and maintained by one person will have gaps. We haven't commissioned a third-party accessibility audit, and we don't run automated scanning on every change.

Known limits

  • Some decorative gradient elements in the page layout don't carry text. They're aria-hidden where appropriate but may not be perfectly described.
  • The Calendly embed on the Contact page is a third-party widget. We don't control its accessibility behavior.
  • PDF downloads (where present) may not be tagged for screen readers. Tell us if you need an alternative format and we'll send one.

Reporting a barrier

If you hit something on this site that you can't use, telling us is the fastest way it gets fixed. Email patrick@pillarpoint.consulting with:

  • The page URL where you ran into the problem.
  • A short description of what wasn't working.
  • The assistive technology and browser you were using, if you know.

We aim to respond within five business days and to fix accessibility issues as quickly as we reasonably can. If you'd rather call, the office number is (517) 917-0330.

Working with us

If you're considering hiring PillarPoint and need accommodations for the engagement itself (large-print materials, captioned video, alternative meeting formats, etc.), say so up front. We'll work with you.
